VP Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Platform Engineering strategy and roadmap.
• Lead teams across Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, and DevOps.
• Own the architecture, scalability, reliability, and security of a large-scale AWS cloud environment.
• Drive adoption of Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native technologies.
• Build self-service platforms and automation that improve developer productivity and reduce manual infrastructure work.
• Establish and mature SRE, observability, incident management, resiliency, and operational performance practices.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Architecture, and executive leadership on technology strategy and investment priorities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled engineering and operational tooling.

Qualification

• 10+ years across Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or related disciplines, with significant leadership experience
• Deep experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud architecture, and infrastructure automation
• Proven experience leading highly available, business-critical production platforms at scale
• Strong understanding of SRE, observability, CI/CD, cloud networking, security, and developer platforms
• Experience building and leading high-performing engineering organizations
• Fintech, payments, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience preferred
• Strong executive communication skills with the technical depth to effectively lead senior engineers and architects
