VP Project Controls, Data Centers

For our client, we are seeking a VP Project Controls, Data Centers to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This leader will oversee project controls for large-scale data center initiatives, with responsibility for driving disciplined cost, schedule, and performance management. The role will guide a project controls team, partner closely with stakeholders, and help ensure accurate reporting and strong execution across complex capital projects. This is a remote opportunity for an experienced leader who can combine technical project controls expertise with people management and clear communication.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $138,840 – $201,480 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee a project controls team, assign work, and ensure quality standards are met
• Provide mentorship on cost estimating methodologies and scheduling techniques
• Conduct performance reviews and support team development
• Review and approve cost estimates and monitor project expenditures
• Prepare reports and communicate timelines to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• 8-10 years of experience in project controls, cost management, estimating, or scheduling
• 2-3 years of experience managing project controls teams
• Advanced knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Strong proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, and cost management tools
