We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VPK Lead Teacher to join our Christian early childhood education team. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating best practices in early childhood education
• Plant the seeds of faith in our earliest learners
• Create engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, numeracy, physical activity, and social skills through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences
• Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a structured environment conducive to learning
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, development milestones, and any concerns or updates
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incidents
• Supervise classroom assistants and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent instructional quality
• Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs

Requirements

• Valid VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) teaching certification or equivalent credentials in early childhood education
• Proven experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of child development principles, childhood welfare standards, and best practices in early intervention and literacy education
• Familiarity with curriculum development, standardized testing, and assessment tools for young learners
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners using clear and positive language
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required; ongoing training in child safety is preferred
• Experience teaching physical education or implementing Christian methods is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan lessons that meet developmental milestones while fostering creativity and curiosity

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
