VPK Teacher – Experienced & Flexible Schedule

Little College of Stars Preschool is seeking an experienced, caring, and dedicated VPK Teacher to join our team. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children.

Position Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate daily activities and lesson plans aligned with Florida’s Early Learning Standards.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support children’s academic, social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain an organized classroom and follow the school’s daily schedule and curriculum.
• Complete required VPK documentation, assessments, observations, and classroom records.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and administration.
• Monitor children’s safety, health, and well-being throughout the day.
• Encourage positive behavior, independence, teamwork, sharing, and respectful interactions.
• Participate in school activities, events, professional development, and staff meetings.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and Florida childcare licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a VPK/Pre-K teacher is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Florida VPK requirements and Early Learning Standards.
• CDA, FCCPC, or other approved early childhood education credentials preferred.
• Must meet Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) childcare staff requirements.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Reliable, responsible, patient, and compassionate.
• Ability to work independently while being a positive team member.
• Professional attitude and commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education.

Schedule

Flexible schedule available. Candidates must be willing to work within the school’s operating hours and have flexibility with their schedule based on classroom and program needs.
