Position Summary

The Service Advisor is the main point of contact for service customers, providing outstanding customer service while clearly communicating vehicle needs, repair recommendations, timelines, and costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally
• Schedule service appointments and manage customer flow
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service needs
• Explain recommended maintenance and repairs in a clear, customer-friendly manner
• Prepare repair orders with accurate estimates and obtain approvals
• Provide timely updates on vehicle status and completion times
• Maintain high customer satisfaction (CSI) standards
• Answer phone inquiries regarding appointments and vehicles in service
• Deliver completed vehicles and review services performed
• Ensure repair orders are properly documented and closed
• Follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety guidelines
• Communicate concerns to the Service Manager
• Refer sales opportunities to the Sales Department when appropriate

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Automotive or dealership experience preferred, but not required

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in automotive service preferred.
• Previous experience in a service advisor or similar role in a dealership.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to follow federal, state, and local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
