Role Description The Waffle House Unit Manager in Auburn, AL is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, supervising shift performance, and ensuring consistent quality of food and service. This full-time, on-site role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, and supporting cost control and basic financial reporting. The Unit Manager leads and coaches Associates, supports hiring and training, and promotes a positive, inclusive workplace aligned with Waffle House values. This role also includes handling customer concerns promptly, upholding company standards, and contributing to local store marketing and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or retail management, including supervising teams and managing shifts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues professionally.
• Basic understanding of inventory management, cash handling, and operational cost control.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations.
• Proven leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating diverse team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or hospitality/management experience is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to the Auburn, AL location and willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
