Waiter

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating where required.
• Present menus and provide accurate information about food and beverage options.
• Take guests’ orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve food and beverages professionally and according to the hotel’s service standards.
• Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and attend to additional requests.
• Ensure tables, service areas and dining spaces are clean, neat and properly arranged.
• Set and clear tables before, during and after service.
• Process guest bills accurately and follow the hotel’s approved payment procedures.
• Handle guest complaints politely and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain proper knowledge of menu items, prices, promotions and available products.
• Coordinate effectively with the kitchen, bar, reception and other relevant departments.
• Monitor table supplies such as napkins, cutlery, condiments and other service items and replenish when necessary.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Minimise wastage and report damaged, missing or unavailable items to the supervisor.
• Maintain a professional appearance and comply with the hotel’s grooming and uniform standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Support other Food & Beverage activities when required.
• Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/OND or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused and courteous attitude.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and during busy periods.
• Good numeracy and order-taking skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Performance Expectations

The Waiter/Waitress is expected to consistently provide warm, efficient and professional service, maintain high standards of cleanliness and contribute to a positive guest experience in line with Supreme Hotel & Suites’ service standards.

Pay: ₦40,000.00 - ₦50,000.00 per month
