WAITER

Position: Waiter
Department: Food & Beverage / Restaurant

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and attend to guests in a polite and professional manner.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.
• Serve food and beverages to guests according to restaurant standards.
• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene at all times.
• Clear and reset tables promptly after guest service.
• Assist guests with menu information and basic food/beverage queries.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest requests and complaints professionally and inform the supervisor when required.
• Check that all orders are served correctly and on time.
• Maintain proper grooming, uniform, personal hygiene, and professional behaviour.
• Follow all restaurant SOPs, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Steward in a restaurant or hotel is preferred.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure during busy hours.
• Positive attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn.
• Good personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
