Job Summary:

A Waiter is responsible for providing professional and friendly food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, explain food and beverage items, and answer guest questions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and ready for guests.
• Monitor guest needs throughout the meal and provide prompt service.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently.
• Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Assist with buffet, banquet, events, and other F&B operations when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining/service areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and company service standards.
• Assist with stock replenishment and proper handling of service equipment.
• Work closely with kitchen, bar, and other service team members.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Captain, Supervisor, or Restaurant Manager.

Preferred Requirements

• Education: High school certificate preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or catering operation preferred.
• Previous experience in fine dining, casual dining, buffet, or banquet service is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good grooming and professional appearance.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• English communication skills required; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
