Job Description

Yamato Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi is a new restaurant opening in November 2026, and we’re looking for friendly, motivated, and professional servers to join our opening team.

We are committed to providing an exceptional dining experience through quality food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re seeking team members who take pride in hospitality, work well with others, and enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests.
• Greet guests, explain menu offerings, and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Coordinate with kitchen, sushi bar, and hibachi chefs to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain clean, organized tables and dining areas.
• Handle guest requests and concerns professionally.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with fellow servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
• Follow restaurant policies, food safety standards, and service procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant serving experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, positive attitude with a professional appearance.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Willingness to learn our sushi, hibachi, and beverage menus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.
