About the role

SUMAK TURKISH CUISINE is seeking passionate and professional Waiters/Waitresses to join our team in Bali. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our hospitality operation, delivering exceptional service to our guests. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences whilst ensuring every guest receives outstanding attention to detail and genuine Turkish hospitality. This role is integral to maintaining SUMAK TURKISH CUISINE's reputation as a premier dining destination in Bali.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in a manner that optimises their comfort and dining experience
• Providing detailed knowledge of our menu, including Turkish specialities, beverages and daily specials, and making knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders whilst ensuring all special requests and dietary requirements are clearly communicated to the kitchen
• Delivering food and beverages promptly, safely and professionally, whilst maintaining impeccable presentation standards
• Ensuring tables remain clean, well-maintained and properly set throughout service
• Handling payments and processing transactions accurately and efficiently
• Addressing guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, empathy and a commitment to resolution
• Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery
• Maintaining a clean and organised dining area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
• Contributing to a positive team environment through reliable, professional behaviour and willingness to support colleagues

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality establishment, preferably in an upscale or fine dining environment
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Excellent communication abilities in English; additional languages are advantageous
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to remember guest preferences and orders accurately
• Physical stamina to work on your feet throughout shifts in a busy dining environment
• Reliability and punctuality with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• A collaborative approach to teamwork and willingness to support colleagues during service
• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and processing transactions
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
