Waiter / Front of House

Overview

Join the front-of-house team as a Waiter, creating a welcoming experience and attentive service for every guest. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the restaurant to keep service running smoothly.

Duties

• Welcome guests, answer questions about the menu and take orders accurately.
• Serve food and drinks, check in with guests and respond promptly to requests.
• Prepare tables and support basic food preparation when needed.
• Follow food safety and hygiene practices, keeping dining and service areas clean.
• Use time management and basic maths to coordinate orders and process bills; recommend suitable menu items where appropriate.

Qualifications

• A friendly, guest-focused approach and an interest in hospitality.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills.
• Basic maths skills and care when handling orders and payments.
• Food safety knowledge is useful; willingness to follow safe working practices is essential.
• Restaurant, serving, guest services, kitchen, food preparation or culinary experience is welcome, but not essential.
• Confidence with thoughtful upselling is an advantage.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 48.0 per week
