Job Summary

We are seeking a smart, courteous, and customer-focused Waiter to join our team at an Indian restaurant in Victoria Island. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of restaurant service and be able to provide a warm and professional dining experience to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and attend to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, explain dishes, and assist customers with their orders where necessary.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Ensure tables and service areas are clean, organized, and properly set.
• Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle customer requests and complaints professionally.
• Prepare and present bills accurately when required.
• Work closely with kitchen and other restaurant staff to ensure smooth service.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, grooming, and restaurant procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a waiter, preferably in an Indian or other specialty restaurant, is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be neat, well-groomed, polite, and customer-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Must be punctual, hardworking, and reliable.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to interact respectfully with customers and colleagues from different backgrounds.
