Job Overview

We are seeking friendly and professional Waiters / Waitresses to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, providing excellent service while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.

Please note: This is NOT a live-in position. Successful applicants will be responsible for arranging and securing their own accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.

• Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff.

• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met.

• Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or dietary needs.

• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.

• Clear tables and assist with setting up for subsequent service periods.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area in accordance with food safety regulations.

• Assist in basic food preparation when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed.

• Handle cash or electronic payments accurately, providing correct change or receipts.

• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and responding promptly to feedback.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.

• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques.

• Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.

• Excellent communication and guest service skills with a friendly, positive demeanour.

• Good organisational skills and time management to ensure smooth service flow.

• Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
