Waiter / Waitstaff Job DescriptionPosition Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused and energetic Waiter/Waitress to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will be friendly, efficient, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking accurate food and beverage orders, serving dishes, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Guest Relations:
• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer detailed recommendations on food and beverage items.
• Answer questions regarding menu ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions or allergies.
• Order Taking & Delivery:
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant’s POS system or order pad.
• Communicate guest orders clearly and promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Table Maintenance & Cleanliness:
• Monitor tables continuously to anticipate guest needs (e.g., refilling drinks, clearing finished plates).
• Reset tables promptly and thoroughly between guests, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Billing & Payments:
• Present bills accurately, process payments (cash, credit card, mobile pay), and handle cash accurately using the register.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with kitchen staff, hosts, and fellow waitstaff to maintain smooth restaurant operations during peak service hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience as a waiter, server, or in a customer-facing hospitality role is preferred (though entry-level candidates with a great attitude are welcome to apply).
• Skills:
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities under pressure.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and carry trays or heavy plates (up to 10–15 kg).
• Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operational hours.
