Waiter / Waitress – Job Description Job Summary The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. The role requires good communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Key Responsibilities - Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. - Present menus and provide accurate information about food and beverage items. - Take guest orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar. - Serve food and beverages according to company standards and service procedures. - Check regularly on guests to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to their requests. - Handle guest complaints professionally and report issues to the supervisor when necessary. - Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and ready for service. - Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining proper hygiene standards. - Assist with preparation and setup before service and cleaning duties after service. - Follow food safety, hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times. - Have good knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens, and daily promotions. - Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, cashier, and other service team members. - Process guest bills and payments accurately when required. - Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance. - Follow company policies, procedures, and service standards. - Assist colleagues and other departments when required. - Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Requirements - Previous experience in a restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Customer-service oriented with a positive and friendly attitude. - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Good knowledge of food and beverage service. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. - Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
