JOB VACANCY: WAITERS/WAITRESSES

Position: Waiter/Waitress
Department: Food and Beverage (F&B)
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

We are seeking polite, presentable, customer-oriented, and hardworking individuals to join our Food and Beverage team as Waiters/Waitresses. The ideal candidates must be passionate about hospitality, committed to excellent guest service, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and attend to their needs in a professional and courteous manner.
• Present menus, explain available meals and beverages, and provide recommendations where necessary.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring that the hotel's service standards are maintained.
• Set up tables, arrange cutlery, and ensure the restaurant and dining areas are clean and presentable.
• Check on guests during meals to ensure satisfaction and promptly address their requests.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and report unresolved issues to the supervisor.
• Prepare and present bills accurately and handle payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards at all times.
• Work closely with kitchen staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC qualification.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality establishment is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good personal hygiene, neat appearance, and professional conduct.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and pay attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Honesty, punctuality, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
