1. Job Summary

We are seeking a courteous, presentable, and customer-focused Waiter/Waitress to provide excellent food and beverage service to hotel guests. The successful candidate will take orders, serve meals and drinks, maintain cleanliness in dining areas, and ensure guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience in line with the hotel's service standards.

2. Job Description

• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables when necessary.
• Present menus, explain available dishes, and provide recommendations where appropriate.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Ensure orders are correct and meet guests' preferences and special dietary requirements.
• Set up tables with appropriate cutlery, crockery, glassware, and table linen.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of dining areas, tables, and service stations.
• Check on guests during meals to ensure satisfaction and attend to additional requests.
• Process bills and payments accurately using the hotel's POS system when required.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service personnel to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Handle guest complaints politely and refer complex issues to the supervisor.
• Clear tables, replace used items, and prepare tables for the next guests.
• Assist with buffet setup, banquets, conferences, and special hotel events.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and hotel service procedures.
• Report stock shortages, damaged equipment, and guest concerns to the supervisor.

3. Requirements/Skills

• Minimum of a secondary school certificate; hospitality training is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, polite, and professional attitude.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment.
• Good teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.
• Basic numerical skills and familiarity with POS systems are an advantage.
• Neat appearance, personal hygiene, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry serving trays safely.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holiday

Pay: ₦80,000.00 per month
