About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters/Waitresses to join our team at CS GROUP RESTAURANT (TOPPEN) in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a member of our front-of-house team, you will be the face of our restaurant, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to outstanding service and hospitality. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and creating memorable experiences that keep our guests returning.

What you'll be doing

1. Greeting guests warmly and professionally as they arrive at the restaurant and seating them according to availability and preferences
2. Presenting menus to guests and providing detailed information about our food and beverage offerings, including daily specials and recommendations
3. Taking accurate food and drink orders from guests and communicating these clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
4. Serving food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring high standards of presentation and service
5. Checking in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and addressing any concerns or requests immediately
6. Processing payments and managing transactions with accuracy and professionalism
7. Clearing and resetting tables efficiently between seatings to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment
8. Maintaining knowledge of allergens, dietary requirements and ingredients to assist guests with their selections
9. Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene
10. Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
11. Upselling additional items where appropriate to enhance the guest experience and increase sales

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a hospitality or restaurant setting
2. Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
3. Strong communication abilities in English; fluency in additional languages is advantageous
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
5. Proficiency in taking orders accurately and processing payments using point-of-sale systems
6. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays and plates safely
7. Knowledge of food service standards, table etiquette and basic food and beverage knowledge
8. Reliability and punctuality with a positive and professional attitude
9. Team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
10. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
