Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all guest preferences are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and spirits service, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
• Upsell menu items, wine selections, and specialty drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales revenue
• Process cash and card transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and processing sales transactions seamlessly
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling procedures
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or high-volume settings
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; OpenTable experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer; ability to recommend pairings is desirable
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not required
• Valid hospitality or serving certification where applicable; experience with bussing or host/hostess duties is advantageous
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays or supplies as needed, and work in a fast-paced environment
