We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Waitress to join our Indian restaurant team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, take orders accurately and help create a welcoming dining experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and show them to their tables Provide menus and explain dishes, ingredients and available options when needed Take food and drink orders accurately and enter them into the restaurant system Answer customer questions about Indian dishes, spice levels, allergens and dietary requirements Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally Check on customers during their meal to make sure they are satisfied Clear and clean tables efficiently between customers Prepare tables with cutlery, glasses, napkins and menus Process or assist with customer bills and payments Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and other members of the restaurant team Handle customer requests and resolve minor issues politely and professionally Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times Keep the restaurant, service areas and tables clean and presentable Assist with opening and closing duties when required Help the wider team during busy periods to ensure smooth restaurant service

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred but not essential Friendly and approachable personality Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods Good attention to detail when taking orders Reliable and punctual Professional appearance and attitude Basic knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness Willingness to learn about Indian cuisine and the restaurant menu
