Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Provide attentive guest service, addressing any questions or concerns courteously.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of tables, utensils, and service areas.
• Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
• Handle payments accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to inform guests effectively.
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and serving standards.
• Basic culinary understanding and kitchen experience are advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
• Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in order-taking and presentation.
• Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
