Waiting Staff

We are now hiring experienced Waiting Staff to join our café team, with immediate starts available.

We are looking for reliable, confident and friendly team members with previous hospitality experience who are comfortable working in a busy café environment. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our customers, providing attentive and professional service while working efficiently as part of a busy team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working with people and is looking for regular hours within a busy estate café.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Point of Sale systems and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen team.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Check in with customers throughout their visit, responding to questions or concerns and making personalised menu recommendations where appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations and dining areas throughout each shift.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and manage customer expectations.
• Process orders, bills and payments accurately.
• Contribute positively to a busy team environment and help maintain consistently high standards of customer service.

Key Requirements

• Previous waiting or hospitality experience is essential.
• Flexible availability across the 7-day week.
• Availability for both weekday and weekend shifts. This position is not suitable for applicants who are only available at weekends.
• A confident, friendly and approachable manner with customers.
• Ability to work efficiently and remain calm during busy periods.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Good basic numeracy skills for processing orders, bills and payments.
• Ability to recommend and upsell menu items confidently where appropriate.
• Familiarity with food preparation or previous kitchen experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Barista experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
