Waiter / Waitress – Kurdish Café & Restaurant

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Waiter/Waitress to join our team at our Kurdish café and restaurant. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, take food and drink orders, serve customers efficiently and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and drinks team.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Ensure customers are happy with their meals and respond to any requests or concerns.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Process customer bills and payments accurately when required.
• Maintain good knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and potential allergens.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing and general cleaning duties.
• Remain calm, organised, professional and helpful during busy periods.

Requirements:

• Previous waiting, café, restaurant or customer service experience is required.
• Friendly, polite and approachable attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail and presentation.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to speak Kurdish and/or Farsi is highly desirable, but no worries if not!
• English communication skills are required.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
