About the role

The Blaze is seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters and Waitresses to join our hospitality team in Bali. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our dining experience, delivering exceptional service to our guests. As a Waiter or Waitress, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable moments for our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort throughout their visit. This role is essential to maintaining The Blaze's reputation for outstanding hospitality and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them at appropriate tables in accordance with service procedures
• Present menus and provide knowledgeable recommendations about dishes, beverages and specials
• Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct items are delivered to the right guests
• Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests
• Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next service
• Process payments and handle cash or card transactions with accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including wiping tables and restocking supplies
• Adhere to health, safety and food hygiene standards at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operations
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints professionally, seeking solutions where possible

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a waitstaff role within a restaurant, café or hospitality establishment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Professional appearance and demeanour with a positive and courteous attitude
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
• Flexibility with shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from management
• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and calculating bills
• Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills would be advantageous
