Waitress (Walk in Interview)

Job Summary

The Bar Waitress is responsible for providing excellent service to guests in the bar area by taking orders, serving beverages and food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating and menu selection.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and food items promptly and professionally.
• Explain menu items, promotions, and beverage options to guests.
• Ensure tables, bar counters, and service areas are clean and properly arranged.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or complaints.
• Coordinate with bartenders, kitchen staff, and other service team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare tables and service stations before opening and maintain them throughout the shift.
• Process bills and payments accurately, following company procedures.
• Follow hygiene, food safety, health and safety, and responsible alcohol-service policies.
• Check guests' identification when required and comply with applicable laws and company policies.
• Assist with stock replenishment, glassware handling, and inventory checks when required.
• Follow grooming, uniform, attendance, and customer service standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Bar Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a bar waitress, waitress, or food and beverage service staff is preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of beverages, food menus, and service etiquette.
• Basic POS and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Good personal hygiene, grooming, and professional appearance.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, attentive, and team-oriented attitude.
