Waitress/Catering Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic mature Waitress/waiter who will be serving, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment , experience is preferred

Duties

• Assist with food preparation and presentation for various events and functions.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring a high level of service at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Support the catering team in setting up and dismantling event spaces as required.
• Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
• Assist in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during events.
• Perform basic math calculations for inventory management and stock control.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Experience in food preparation and serving is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Basic culinary skills or kitchen experience would be beneficial.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
