Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for guest service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a high standard of service throughout their visit. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. The successful applicant will contribute to an enjoyable environment that encourages repeat visits and positive guest experiences.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service
• Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of drinks
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
• Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
• Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, mixers, and other ingredients
• Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
• Assist in setting up the bar area before service and cleaning up after closing shifts

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service procedures
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
• Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is beneficial but not essential
• Culinary or kitchen experience can be an asset for understanding beverage pairings and presentation techniques
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the venue’s operating hours
