At Makan, we bring people together through Malaysian food and warm hospitality. We’re looking for enthusiastic waitstaff and bartenders to join our Front of House team, with full-time and casual positions available.

If you’re friendly, reliable and passionate about great service, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll bring:

• Previous experience in a similar restaurant, ideally two years or more
• Excellent communication and a warm, welcoming personality
• Attention to detail and pride in your work
• The ability to stay organised during busy service
• Availability for a mix of weekdays, evenings and weekends
• A hands-on attitude and willingness to support your team

You’ll be:

• Welcoming guests and providing friendly, attentive service
• Taking orders accurately and confidently explaining our menu
• Maintaining Makan’s standards for table presentation, cleanliness and service
• Working closely with the kitchen and Front of House team to keep service running smoothly

Roles available:

• Waitstaff: Confident taking orders, serving food and drinks, and managing a section with care.
• Bartenders: Experienced preparing drinks, keeping the bar organised and delivering consistent quality.

Pay: $33.85 – $40.62 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38.0 per week
