Waitstaff

Sitting in the heart of Christchurch's hospitality scene with a front row view of the iconic Avon river are Chiwahwah and Zodiac Restaurants.

Chiwahwah is like taking a trip to Mexico, working in the surroundings of rustic ceiling work, beehive like light installations, Mexican flora and animals donned with sombreros.

Right next door is Zodiac, a stylish popular venue serving modern Asian cuisine all in the unique surroundings of our very own aquarium!

At both Chiwahwah and Zodiac we are looking for experienced waitstaffwho can deliver outstanding customer service and serve food and beverages in line with our selling system. Our crew are encouraged to showcase their personalities and have fun, while efficiently recognising and delivering on guest needs.

Other tasks include:

• Positively meeting and greeting guests and deliver information about our offerings to enhance experience
• Attend regular in house beverage, food and service training and complete training modules
• Clear and reset tables, ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and process order through POS
• Ability to process electronic and cash payments
• Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws and can effectively communicate with management and guests to enforce licensing requirements
• Promote products and services in line with Zodiac and Chiwahwah policies

This is a full time role - minimum 30 hours per week and pay range is between $25 and $29 per hour based on experience. This role will require you to be available nights, weekends and over the busy summer months.

This is a fast paced role, so you must be motivated to work hard and put in the effort to learn about our offerings and service standards.

Must have a minimum of two years experience working in a similar multi sitting restaurant.
