Waitstaff/Bartender

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse selection of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items accordingly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods efficiently
• Develop and suggest beverage recipes to enhance menu offerings while staying within established quality standards
• Manage bar inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and minimizing waste through effective stock rotation
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless food and beverage service during busy hours or special events such as banquets or catering functions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bartender with knowledge of mixology techniques and cocktail recipes
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create welcoming atmospheres for diverse clientele
• Experience working in fine dining establishments or hospitality industry settings preferred
• Knowledge of beverage ingredients including spirits, wine, beer styles (especially craft beer), and non-alcoholic options
• Ability to develop new beverage recipes and adapt existing ones creatively
• Food handling certification or knowledge of food safety practices required
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding, and food industry calculations
• Previous experience in restaurant or banquet settings is advantageous; catering experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills coupled with a professional appearance and attitude
