Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Manage reservations using OpenTable or similar reservation systems to optimize seating flow and guest satisfaction
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
• Serve food and drinks with professionalism, including cocktail service, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and beverage presentation
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly recommendations and product knowledge
• Clear tables, bus tables (bussing), and maintain cleanliness in dining areas to ensure sanitation standards are met
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Assist in food handling and food safety protocols to ensure quality standards are maintained at all times
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or food industry tasks as needed during busy periods

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that fosters guest loyalty
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly between duties
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Experience with OpenTable or other reservation management tools is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills efficiently
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a lively hospitality environment
