Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options, including wine and spirits.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including cocktail and drink service.
• Process sales transactions efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and tips with precision.
• Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring cleanliness of tables, utensils, and service stations.
• Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service flow.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing transactions smoothly.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to recommend pairings and upsell effectively.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling; familiarity with sales transaction processing is essential.
• Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
