Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and baristas
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales through POS systems, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and cocktail options to elevate guest satisfaction
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed in a fast-paced environment
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
• Support team members with opening or closing duties to ensure operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, especially in fine dining environments
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Culinary experience or food industry background is advantageous for understanding menu components and food handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic environment

Pay: $21.83 - $26.28 per hour
