Walk-in || Billing Engineer

Position: Billing Engineer
Experience: 25 years preferred
Location: Chennai
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Salary: Negotiable based on experience, skills and interview performance

ROLES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing all billing and cost-related activities of construction projects. The role ensures Collect accurate measurement, billing, and cost control in line with project specifications, BOQ, and contractual terms. Your key responsibilities include:

1. Quantity & Measurement

• Collect accurate measurements from project managers and QS.
• Prepare quantity take-offs (QTO) based on BOQ and drawings.
• Maintain Measurement Book (MB) and records.

2. Billing & Invoice Preparation

• Prepare RA Bills (Running Bills) and Final Bills.
• Verify contractor and subcontractor bills.
• Ensure billing is done as per work progress and contract terms.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain billing records, abstracts, and reports.
• Ensure timely submission of bills and reports.

4. Coordination

Coordinate with:

• Site Engineers
• Project Managers
• Planning Team
• Ensure proper verification of executed work before billing.
• Mandatory to submit Daily Report to your Assigned Head.

6. Cost Control & Monitoring

• Compare actual vs planned quantities.
• Support cost control and budget monitoring activities.

7. Contract & Compliance

• Study contract agreements, specifications, and scope of work.
• Ensure billing complies with contractual terms and company policies.
• Handle variations, extra items, and deviation statements.

8. Client & Vendor Handling

• Coordinate with clients for bill certification.
