Job Description: Engineer II .NET / Sr Engineer .NET

Role Overview

We are looking for an Engineer II .NET to develop, test and support enterprise application functionality within the Mozart platform. The successful candidate will work with senior engineers, business analysts, QA engineers and database teams to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.

The role involves full-stack development using ASP.NET MVC, Web API, C#, frontend technologies and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application features based on approved requirements and designs.
• Implement changes across UI, controller, business logic, service and data-access layers.
• Develop ASP.NET MVC functionality and Web API endpoints.
• Create and update Razor views and TypeScript or JavaScript components.
• Build and consume REST-based services.
• Develop database queries and data-access functionality.
• Follow established application architecture and coding standards.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code.
• Create unit and integration tests for new functionality.
• Perform developer testing and support sanity and regression testing.
• Investigate defects and implement root-cause fixes.
• Address feedback from peer reviews and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot issues across applications, API and database layers.
• Support release preparation, deployment and post-deployment validation.
• Assist with production incidents and service requests.
• Document implementation details, configurations and test results.
• Participate in requirement analysis, estimation and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with team members to meet delivery commitments.

Required Technical Skills

• Professional experience with C# and .NET Framework.
• Good knowledge of ASP.NET MVC and Web API.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
• Experience with Entity Framework or a comparable ORM.
• Experience with SQL Server and relational database concepts.
• Experience with Razor, TypeScript or JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization and secure coding.
• Experience writing unit or integration tests.
• Familiarity with automated regression-testing practices.
• Experience using Git and participating in peer code reviews.
• Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Agile development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting large enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Informix databases.
• Familiarity with Java-based applications or batch processes.
• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with multi-customer or configurable applications.
• Familiarity with application monitoring and production support.
• Knowledge of application security and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience in Automation testing.
