Walk-in || Estimation and Quality Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Estimation and Quality Engineer to join our team at Pxmakes( a part of workframe). In this dual-focus role, you will play a critical part in both the pre-construction phase (costing, bidding, and quantity surveying) and execution phase (site quality audits, material compliance, and execution standards).

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimation & Quantity Surveying:

• Accurately review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and comprehensive cost estimates.

• Prepare material takeoffs, tender documents, and bid proposals for prospective construction projects.

• Solicit quotations from vendors and subcontractors, conduct comparative analysis, and negotiate competitive pricing.

• Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC):

• Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) on-site to ensure adherence to architectural blueprints, engineering standards, and local building bylaws.

• Conduct routine site inspections and structural checks to identify workmanship defects or deviations, ensuring timely corrective actions.

• Inspect incoming construction materials (steel, cement, aggregates, finishing materials) for quality compliance before site deployment.

• Project Costing & Liaison:

• Track project costs against approved budgets, assist with progress billing, and evaluate contractor variation orders.

• Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, and architects to resolve technical challenges and streamline workflows safely and efficiently.

Required Candidate Profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Degree/Diploma in Construction Management / Architecture.

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in estimation, costing, and quality control within the Indian construction/real estate sector.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in reading architectural and structural drawings.

• Hands-on experience with estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, MS Excel) and AutoCAD.

• Sound knowledge of Indian Standard (IS) codes, ASTM standards, and standard construction safety practices.

• Competencies: Strong analytical mindset, excellent negotiation skills, high attention to detail, and good verbal/written communication.
