What they need
A HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) Coder is responsible for reviewing, abstracting, and validating medical records to ensure accurate reporting of quality measures. The coder analyzes clinical documentation, assigns appropriate medical codes, and supports healthcare organizations in meeting NCQA HEDIS quality reporting requirements.
Desired skillset:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HEDIS abstraction and medical coding.
- Must be a Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, CRC)
- Strong knowledge of HEDIS measures, NCQA guidelines, and quality improvement programs.
- Experience in medical record review, chart abstraction, and gap-in-care identification.
