Walk-in || Mechanical Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of aerospace to work on BOM preparation & manufacturing processes.

• Hands-on experience in interpreting OEM technical data packages (Airbus, Embraer), including BOMs, 2D drawings, 3D models & ECN/COS.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD software such as CATIA, NX, Creo.

• Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication, machining, assemblies, GD&T, tooling, and shop-floor manufacturing practices.

• Compile and send requests for material, hardware, special BOI, Outsourcing, and tooling quotes to Procurement and SCM.

• Should have experience in CATIA part design.

• Should have knowledge on aerospace Sheetmetal tooling like:

• Form Tools

• Drill Jigs

• Checking fixture

• Milling fixture

• Should know how to create a loft Flat pattern.

• Should have ability to understand Sheetmetal forming process.

• Should have good manufacturing knowledge.

• Exposure to GD&T

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering.

3-6 years of experience in cost estimation of Sheetmetal, Machined parts (Aerostructures parts- preferably for Airbus) & assemblies.
