Job Overview

EPAM Systems is looking for an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and Python to design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and performance optimization, with the ability to independently manage and deliver medium to high-complexity projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and data warehouse solutions.
• Build, enhance, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake.
• Develop robust and efficient data engineering solutions using Python.
• Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data transformation, analysis, and reporting.
• Perform query tuning, database performance optimization, and efficient data processing.
• Implement, enhance, and support data warehouse systems and reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain reliable ETL/ELT workflows and data transformation processes.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, scalability, and maintainability by following data engineering best practices.
• Independently drive medium to high-complexity projects from development through implementation.
• Explore and leverage Snowflake AI capabilities, including Cortex and Copilot, to improve data engineering and analytics workflows.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and data models.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data transformation.
• Experience in SQL query tuning, database optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing, enhancing, and supporting data warehouse systems and reporting solutions.
• Ability to independently manage medium to high-complexity technical initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
