What is 3B2 in publishing industry

Trainee 3B2 is an entry-level position in the e-publishing and typesetting industries. In this role, individuals learn to use Arbortext APP (formerly known as Advent 3B2), a powerful, specialized desktop publishing tool used to format, automate, and paginate complex documents like scientific journals, textbooks, and academic books.

Job Description:

Page Composition: Arrange text, images, and tables on pages using Adobe InDesign.

Formatting: Apply correct styles, templates, and fonts based on project guidelines.

Quality Check: Ensure layouts are consistent, accurate, and free of formatting errors.

Collaboration: Work with senior typesetters, editors, and quality control teams.

Candidate Profile:

• Should be good in English (both verbal & written). Must passed out in the academic year of 2024 to 2026.
• Should have basic computer knowledge and should be good in typing and proficiency in MS office tools like MS Word.
• Good eye for detail and should be able to identify mistakes in content.

Shift Timings : Rotational Shifts

First Shift 6:15 AM to 1:45 PM

Second Shift 1:45 PM to 9:15 PM

Third Shift 9:15 PM to 6:15 AM (No Night shift for female candidates)
