General Accountability

The Material Handler/Walkie Operator role is responsible for operating walkie (electric pallet jacks) to transport finished goods from end of production line to pallet wrapping station and enter into inventory / prepare pallets for storage in warehouse. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols, and must support warehouse and production operations while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.

Specific Accountabilities

• Operate walkie to transport pallets and materials within the facility.
• Operate pallet wrapping turntable safely and efficiently
• Conduct pre-operational equipment checks and reports on any mechanical issues.
• Maintains equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion and handles fragile items with care.
• Printing of labels and maintaining accurate records of inventory movement using RF Scanner
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with general warehouse and production tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by Supervisor and/or designate.

Requirement

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in manufacturing is an asset).
• Previous warehouse experience and walkie operator experience preferred.
• Walkie certification required.
• Ability to operate a walkie safely and efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirement

• Warehouse/production setting with exposure to varying temperatures.
• Standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour
