Leather Wallets & Small Leather Goods (SLG)

Location: Kasba, Kolkata
Department: Design & Product Development
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month (Based on experience and skills)
Joining: Immediate Joiners Preferred

About the Role:

Stichwell Exports Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a creative and experienced Wallet Designer with practical knowledge of leather wallet design, construction, pattern development, and sample making.

The ideal candidate should be capable of developing innovative, commercially viable designs for leather wallets and small leather goods in line with buyer requirements and international market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop leather wallets, card holders, coin pouches, passport holders, and other SLG products.
• Create new designs based on buyer specifications, market trends, and seasonal collections.
• Prepare design sketches, technical drawings, measurements, and product specifications.
• Coordinate with Pattern Masters and the Sample Department for pattern development and sample making.
• Select suitable leather, lining, thread, zippers, fittings, and other accessories.
• Develop and modify samples based on buyer feedback and approval requirements.
• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for bulk production.
• Work closely with Merchandising and Production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Research new wallet styles, constructions, materials, colours, and finishing techniques.

Required Skills:

✔ Strong knowledge of Leather Wallet Design & Construction

✔ Understanding of wallet patterns, compartments, folding, stitching, edge finishing, and assembly

✔ Practical experience in sample development and product execution

✔ Knowledge of leather types, linings, fittings, and accessories

✔ Knowledge of CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, CAD, or similar design software will be an advantage

✔ Creative thinking and strong attention to detail

✔ Good communication and coordination skills

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate / Diploma in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Product Design, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in leather wallet design and development preferred.
• Experience in leather goods manufacturing or export houses will be an advantage.
