Wallpaper Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wallpaper Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly applying wallpaper and wall coverings to various surfaces, transforming interior spaces with precision and creativity. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets high standards of quality, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship in residential and commercial environments while working with a variety of materials and techniques.

Duties

• Prepare walls by cleaning, sanding, patching, and ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for wallpaper application
• Measure walls accurately and interpret schematics or blueprints to determine material requirements and layout plans preferred
• Select appropriate adhesives, tools, and techniques based on the type of wallpaper and surface conditions preferred
• Install wallpaper using hand tools
• Use ladders safely to reach high areas while adhering to all safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols
• Cut, trim, and align wallpaper precisely to ensure clean edges and pattern matching across surfaces
• Perform surface preparation tasks such as drywall repair, caulking, plastering, and applying coatings for optimal adhesion preferred
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to execute complex designs or murals accurately preferred
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and tools throughout the project
• Collaborate with project managers/owner to ensure specifications are met within scheduled timelines

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating, residential painting, or commercial painting is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of color theory and visual color comparison techniques for achieving desired aesthetic effects
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment
• Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection and fall prevention measures
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, or remodeling plans accurately
• Experience with surface preparation tasks such as drywall installation/repair, plastering, caulking, and stucco application
• Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
• Ability to work at heights using ladders safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols
