Duties

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by answering questions, guiding product choices, and offering product demos to enhance the shopping experience
• Operate cash registers and handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while managing cash drawer handling and cash handling procedures
• Assist customers with retail store product knowledge, upselling items to maximize sales opportunities and promote store promotions
• Stock shelves, merchandise products, and ensure proper signage for effective merchandising and inventory management
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
• Support grocery and general merchandise sections by stocking products, organizing displays, and ensuring store cleanliness
• Supervise team members when needed, providing guidance on retail operations, cashiering, and customer service standards

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is highly advantageous
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage bilingual customers effectively
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for retail math, sales totals, and inventory counts accurately
• Experience with cashiering, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions is essential
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
