WANTED - Construction (QS) Tutor

Are you passionate about shaping the future workforce within the construction and quantity surveying industry?

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Construction/Quantity Surveying (QS) Tutor to join our educational institution.

In this role, you will primarily deliver modules within the New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Level 6 and may also contribute to teaching in the Construction stream, depending on your expertise. You will be joining a team committed to providing high-quality education and training for the next generation of Construction/QS professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and industry-relevant lectures and practical sessions aligned with the approved curriculum.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students, ensuring a positive learning experience.
• Collaborate with the Programme Leader to maintain the quality and effectiveness of course delivery.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse student body, including international students.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that enhance student learning.
• Assess and grade student work within the required timeframes.
• Maintain accurate student records and monitor progress.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• NZ Diploma in Construction (Level 6) or a relevant undergraduate degree
• A minimum of two years of full-time experience in Quantity Surveying or construction industry.
• Current Registered Quantity Surveyor (NZIQS) status (preferred but not required).
• An Adult Education qualification (preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with international students and academic staff.
• Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
