Ward Aide

About the role

To assist nursing staff in providing basic care and support to residents/patients while ensuring their comfort, safety, hygiene, and well-being.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and general comfort of residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of residents' rooms, beds, and ward areas.
• Assist nursing staff with basic care duties as instructed.
• Monitor residents and report any changes in condition to the Staff Nurse.
• Follow infection control, safety, and centre procedures.
• Maintain residents' privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Nurse Manager or Staff Nurse.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is an advantage.
• Caring, responsible, and patient.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform caregiving duties.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
