Warehosue Assistant

A Warehouse Assistant (or Logistics Assistant) handles day-to-day operations in a storage or distribution facility. In Singapore—whether in medical devices (like BUZUD), consumer retail, or general logistics—this role ensures incoming stock is checked, stored correctly, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately to meet order demands.

Core Responsibilities

• Inbound Receiving & Stocking:

  • Unload goods from delivery trucks, containers, or suppliers.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for defects, damages, or missing quantities against delivery orders (DO).
  • Label items, apply barcoding, and put away stock into designated racks, shelves, or bin locations.

• Outbound Picking & Packing:

  • Pick items accurately based on picking lists or electronic Warehouse Management System (WMS) handheld scanners.
  • Pack, seal, label, and shrink-wrap orders to prevent damage during transit.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and assist delivery drivers with dispatch loading.

• Inventory Control & Housekeeping:

  • Perform regular cycle counts and stock-taking exercises to reconcile physical stock against system records.
  • Organize stock efficiently to maximize warehouse space utilization.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe working conditions compliant with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Minimum Secondary School / N-Level / O-Level / ITE qualification. Fresh entries are often accepted, though 1–2 years of logistics or warehouse experience is preferred.

• Physical Capability: Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes or stock (typically up to 10–25 kg).

• Basic Literacy: Ability to read order sheets, check serial/batch numbers, and use basic electronic stock scanners or computer inventory tools.
