Warehouse & Dispatch Member

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work as part of our warehouse and dispatch team to ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, efficiently and on time.

This is a hands-on role covering warehouse operations, dispatch and inventory control. You will be involved in the daily movement of stock, maintaining accurate warehouse locations, investigating stock discrepancies and supporting cycle counts and stocktakes.

There will also be occasions where you will assist with customer deliveries, making a current Full New Zealand Driver Licence essential.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and on time.
• Carry out day-to-day warehouse and dispatch activities.
• Ensure stock is correctly received, stored, picked and dispatched.
• Maintain accurate warehouse locations and good warehouse organisation.
• Maintain a high level of inventory and stock accuracy.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
• Follow FIFO, batch and expiry-date controls.
• Participate in cycle counts and month-end stocktakes.
• Work closely with the warehouse team, Customer Service and Operations Manager to meet daily customer requirements.
• Assist with customer deliveries when required.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety.
• Assist with other warehouse and operational duties as required.

About you

• Previous experience in food distribution, food manufacturing, FMCG or a temperature-controlled warehouse environment would be highly regarded.
• Strong practical warehouse and dispatch experience.
• Good inventory management and stock control experience.
• Understanding of FIFO, batch control and food safety requirements.
• A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise work and perform effectively in a busy environment.
• Comfortable using warehouse or inventory systems.
• A reliable, positive and hands-on attitude.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and assist wherever required.
