Job Description

TNT – The New Trend is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse & Ecommerce Associate to join our team.

This is a hands-on role supporting both our warehouse operations and ecommerce fulfillment. You will be responsible for receiving and documenting incoming merchandise, processing transfers, picking and packing ecommerce orders, preparing store shipments, and helping maintain an organized and efficient warehouse.

We work with premium and designer apparel, footwear, and accessories, so accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and care when handling merchandise are essential.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both physical inventory and technology. You should be confident using computers, spreadsheets, scanners, shipping systems, and other digital tools while also being comfortable spending much of the day standing, moving merchandise, receiving shipments, and packing orders.

What You’ll DoInbound – Transfers & Receiving

• Receive inbound shipments and internal store transfers as they arrive.
• Unpack, sort, count, and inspect incoming merchandise.
• Compare received units against packing slips, transfer documents, purchase orders, or other provided documentation.
• Verify SKUs, styles, sizes, quantities, and other product information for accuracy.
• Accurately record the results of all receiving activity.
• Identify, separate, and clearly label exceptions including missing units, incorrect sizes or products, overages, damaged merchandise, and other discrepancies.
• Report receiving discrepancies promptly and clearly to the appropriate team member.
• Digitally document receiving activity using spreadsheets, CSV logs, photos, and other systems when required.
• Ensure merchandise is properly organized and staged after receiving.
• Handle apparel, footwear, accessories, and other merchandise carefully to maintain product condition.

Outbound – Ecommerce Orders & Store Shipments

• Pick, sort, verify, and pack ecommerce orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare inventory transfers and outgoing shipments to TNT retail locations.
• Confirm the correct SKU, style, size, colour, and quantity against order or shipment documentation before packing.
• Perform basic quality-control checks for damage, wear, missing components, incorrect tags, or other issues before merchandise is shipped.
• Escalate product or order discrepancies rather than shipping merchandise that does not meet requirements.
• Fold, protect, and package merchandise according to TNT's packing and presentation standards.
• Use appropriate protective materials and include required documentation or inserts.
• Print and apply shipping labels accurately.
• Follow specific shipping requirements when applicable, including carrier selection and signature services.
• Stage completed shipments in the appropriate area for carrier pickup or store delivery.
• Help ensure ecommerce orders are processed accurately and within required fulfillment timelines.

Inventory & Warehouse Organization

• Maintain clean, organized, and clearly defined warehouse, packing, receiving, and staging areas.
• Ensure merchandise is returned to the correct inventory location after handling.
• Help organize inventory to make picking and receiving efficient and accurate.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock checks, and reconciliation when required.
• Identify misplaced merchandise or inventory discrepancies and bring them to the team's attention.
• Break down boxes and dispose of or recycle packaging materials appropriately.
• Maintain packing supplies and notify the team when materials need to be replenished.
• Help keep workstations and shared warehouse areas clean and ready for use.

General Warehouse & Ecommerce Support

• Communicate progress, priorities, discrepancies, and delays clearly throughout the day.
• Coordinate with ecommerce, retail, buying, and operations team members as needed.
• Assist with returns, transfers, inventory projects, and other operational tasks when required.
• Support the warehouse and ecommerce teams during high-volume periods, sales, product launches, and the holiday season.
• Follow established processes while identifying issues that could affect order or inventory accuracy.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion.
• Perform other warehouse and operational duties as required.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Fluent spoken and written English with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
• Strong comfort with technology and computers.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and CSV files and following digital workflows.
• Comfortable using barcode scanners, label printers, shipping software, and similar warehouse technology.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Ability to follow established procedures consistently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision while also contributing to a team environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change throughout the day.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move for extended periods.
• Able to safely lift and carry up to approximately 30 lbs.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Previous ecommerce fulfillment, warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or stockroom experience.
• Experience picking and packing ecommerce orders.
• Familiarity with Shopify or Shopify-based order fulfillment.
• Experience with shipping carriers, shipping-label software, or fulfillment platforms.
• Experience using spreadsheets for inventory or receiving documentation.
• Experience handling apparel, footwear, accessories, or other fashion merchandise.
• Previous fashion retail experience, including Front of House or Back of House roles.
• Strong product awareness and an understanding of presentation standards for premium merchandise.
• Experience working in a high-volume retail or ecommerce environment.

You should be the type of person who notices when a size or SKU does not match, double-checks an order before it leaves the warehouse, keeps your workspace organized, and communicates quickly when something does not look right.

Speed is important, but accuracy comes first. Mistakes in receiving, inventory, or ecommerce fulfillment can affect our customers and stores, so we are looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.

You should also be comfortable learning new systems and adapting as our processes evolve.

Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Toronto.

Candidates should have reliable availability and be prepared for increased volume during peak retail periods, including promotional events and the holiday season.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
